HOW TO: D.I.Y MASKS FOR EVERY SKIN TYPE

If you are passionate about having your face glow without spots and blemishes, you surely must have considered face masks at one point or the other. Maybe you even pay for some now. But do you know you can just as easily make your own D.I.Y masks at home and get essentially the same result, no matter your skin type?

This means that you don’t have to cough out too much money at a spa when you could treat your face to awesome D.I.Y masks in your bathroom. The bonus is that it is all natural – an essential condition for natural products enthusiasts.

No matter your skin type, there is a D.I.Y mask that would work for you. In this article, we would be looking at a few of these, and how to make them right at home. Every mask discussed in this article is made with organic products. Here they are:

Honey and Lemon Mask

This D.I.Y mask works great for anyone looking for glowing skin. It is simple to prepare and can be used once a week or just twice a month. To prepare this, all you need are:

  • Honey (4 tablespoons)
  • Lemon juice (2 tablespoons)

Simply mix the ingredients and apply the mixture to your face. Allow the mixture to sit for 15 minutes and then rinse well with warm water. Do not towel dry your face. Let your face gently soak in the moisture for that extra shine.

Lemon Greek Yoghurt Mask

This D.I.Y mask is a great choice if you have oily skin or get breakouts easily. To make this you need 3 ingredients. They are:

  • Lemon juice (1 tablespoon)
  • Greek yogurt (1 tablespoon)
  • Baking soda (1 tablespoon)

Just like the first D.I.Y mask, mix the ingredients well and apply to your face. Let it sit for around 15 to 20 minutes. Afterward, rinse well with warm water, and you are good to go.

Unlike the first mask, though, this one can be drying. The lemon juice thoroughly cleans up the pores and the yogurt helps treat acne and slow down aging. The baking soda is a natural exfoliator and helps remove dead cells. To be safe, only perform this skincare routine a few times in a month.

Greek Yoghurt And Honey Mask

This is a blend of the first two masks. This D.I.Y mask perfectly blends the anti-acne and anti-aging properties of yogurt with the moisturizing properties of honey. To make this mask, all you need are:

  • Greek Yoghurt (3 tablespoons)
  • Honey (1 tablespoon)

Mix these together and apply on your face for around 20 minutes for that richly moisturized texture. This can be applied once a week or twice a month.

Coconut Avocado Mask

This D.I.Y mask is a step away from the first three masks mentioned. It is very effective in smoothening, nourishing, and hydrating your skin. The ingredients needed for this are:

  • Coconut oil (1-2 tablespoons)
  • ¼ Avocado
  • Cocoa powder (1 teaspoon)

You won’t be able to mix these ingredients well manually. It is recommended you use a hand mixer or food processor if you want to get a smooth, consistent paste. After mixing it well, apply on your face for 15-20 minutes and rinse with warm water.

These are a few D.I.Y masks to add to your skincare routine. The beautiful thing about them is that they are all organic products. You don’t have to worry about any harmful chemical. These natural products will easily replace the expensive skincare you pay for at the spa. Go ahead and enjoy these.
